General Questions

Is there ample parking available for attendees?

Yes. Guests can park in our underground parking garage. Gate 3 or Gate 4 provides the easiest access to all venues at 100 South Commons, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

Does the venue allow outside vendors or caterers?

Yes. We have an open vendor policy; however, all vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI). This is not required for simple drop-off deliveries. Please note that Nova Place staff are not responsible for handling deliveries. If alcohol will be served, additional requirements apply—please notify your onsite coordinator.

Can the venue accommodate special requests or event themes?

Nova Place provides the venue, cleaning, and day-of support only. Clients are responsible for coordinating décor, rentals, and event enhancements.

What are the policies on decorations and signage?

Only paper signage is permitted. Tape must be applied using the “donut” method with standard scotch tape. No materials may be affixed to ceilings or walls in any other way.

Do you need a list of attendees?

No, only the expected number of attendees is required.

Is there a dress code?

No, there is no dress code.

Are there nearby hotels for out-of-town guests?

Yes. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pittsburgh North Shore and SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh North Shore are both within a 5-minute walk.

Are there any external factors that may impact events?

Yes. Due to proximity to PNC Park, traffic may be impacted during Pittsburgh Pirates home games.

Do we need to sign a contract or put down a deposit?

No contract or deposit is required. A copy of your event order and invoice will be sent via email after booking. Payment can be made through our online portal or by check payable to Alloy 26 LLC. Payment is due on or before the day of your event.

Do you host private events?

No- we only host Corporate and Non-profit events.

Alloy 26 Auditorium & Lounge Questions

How do we get to Alloy 26?

From the parking garage (Gate 3 or 4), take the Concourse elevators to the Plaza (P). At the security desk, turn right—Suite 102 will be clearly marked.

What is the venue equipped with?

The space includes a projector, microphone, clicker, podium, networking lounge, and wet bar. Capacity is up to 140 guests.

Does the space include a fridge or coffee machine?

No. For catering needs, we recommend Eco Bistro, our on-site café.

Are there specific delivery instructions?

Small deliveries may use Allegheny Square East with nearby street parking by Nova Tower 2 or utilize the parking garage.

Conference Center Questions

How do we get to the Conference Center?

From the garage (Gate 3 or 4), take the Concourse elevators to the Plaza (P), pass the security desk, and proceed outside. Turn left at the turf—the Conference Center is the last door on the left.

Where is it located on campus?

The Conference Center is located across from Federal Galley.

Can I prop the door open?

No. Doors must remain closed for security purposes.

What is the Conference Center equipped with?
  • Boardroom: Monitor, small whiteboard, video conferencing
  • Classroom: Projector, microphone, podium, large and small whiteboards, monitor

Does the Conference Center have a kitchen?

Yes. A kitchenette with a fridge is available next to the classroom. Catering items may be dropped off the day before with coordination.

Does the Conference Center have a coffee machine?

No. We recommend Eco Bistro for catering.

What layouts are available?

Classroom (60), Pods (40), U-shape (26). Final setup must be confirmed at least 48 hours in advance.

Are there charging ports at each table?

No. Wall outlets are available. Tables are movable.

Are there specific delivery instructions?

Small deliveries can access Children’s Way with nearby street parking by Park View Apartments.
